Inspired by a fairytale

We've got a great challenge theme for you this fortnight at Sweet Stampin'. We want your creations to be based on a fairytale theme, whether it be a particular fairy story or just fairytale characters.

I treated myself to a Lawn Fawn pop-up thingy recently so decided to have a play:

Once you get the hang of it the pop-up thingies are fairly straightforward to put together.  I made mine from some design paper I've had in my stash for years.  For the images, I stamped, cut out and coloured characters and foliage from MFT and the small castle from Stamping Bella.  The overall design is small enough to fit into an A2 envelope, so no need for extra postage.

Do hop on over to Sweet Stampin' to check out the challenge details and look at the amazing inspiration projects the Sweeties have made.

Looking forward to seeing what you make!

Use book print, sheet music or maps

This weekend sees the start of a new challenge at Sweet Stampin'.  Our new theme for the coming fortnight is to use book print, sheet music or maps as part of your design.

I kept changing my mind about this one, but in the end I opted to use up some double-side paper that has been in my stash for YEARS!

I kept everything very simple for this A2 card.  The paper is, I think, by My Mind's Eye and is double-sided; I used both sides, with the green dotty paper for the first layer and the reverse, which is all in French book print, for the second layer.  The MT stamp was coloured with Copics and I added some little gems just because.

We'd love you to play along with our challenge this fortnight.  You'll find lots of inspiration and all of the challenge details here.

Have a fabulous weekend!
