Just popping in to say a belated Merry Christmas and to give you a gentle reminder that there is still plenty of time to enter the Christmas challenge at Sweet Stampin'.
Thought I'd share another card from the not-posted-yet box!
Christmas will be here before we know it, so this Sweet Stampin' challenge will last for the whole month of December. No surprises what our theme is - it's Christmas!
My crafty time in 2022 has been fairly limited due to one thing and another, so this year's cards are mostly of the CAS variety. This has given me the opportunity to show some love to some neglected stamps as well as use up quite a bit of cardstock and design paper.
I chose one of the Pure Innocence MFT stamps for my DT card as they are pretty quick and easy to colour with my Copics. I added glossy accents to give the lights on her antlers and her red nose a bit of shine. I find the sentiments in these sets sit perfectly underneath the main image and are a real time-saver. The cardstock is from my stash as is the design paper (some Magnolia paper from way back when).

My DT card uses some cute stamps from MFT
I stamped the sweet elephants in Memento ink and coloured them with Copics. I added a little bit of glitter pen here and there, together with some clear Wink of Stella and glossy accents on the balloon.
I hope this fortnight's challenge gives you a nice break from making Christmas cards. Can't wait to see what you make!

I'm happy to be joining in with Team Wends this fortnight at Sweet Stampin', where our challenge theme is Thanks or Thanksgiving.
I made this fairly CAS card using a stencil combined with some Altenew stamps.
I don't often work directly on the card base, but I wanted to create a one-layer design. I used a lime green ink (Gina K Jelly Bean Green) and a stencil to create an ombre effect background and then stamped an Altenew sprig over the top in Versamark black ink for a strong outline. The sentiment is from an Altenew mini stamp set and again I used Versamark to get a nice clear impression.

The nights are drawing in, leaves are falling from the trees and there's a definite chill in the air. Christmas is only a couple of months away... But first, Halloween! And that's our theme for this fortnight's challenge at Sweet Stampin'.
Halloween really isn't a thing here. Some of the tinies go round the houses with their parents to show off their costumes and maybe get some sweeties, but that's it. No need, really to make Halloween cards, but I make them anyway because there are so many cute stamps out there!
One such cutie that I love is this digi stamp from Lili of the Valley, which I've used for my DT card.
I printed out the image a little larger than usual so that I could make a 6" x 6" square card. I coloured it with Copics and a selection of glitter pens before adding some sequins for a bit of extra something.
The image was mounted on a purple mat, which in turn was glued to black scallop-edged cardstock - yes, I still have those Martha Stewart edger punches that were all the rage several years back!

Google tells me that there are only 92 days until Christmas! So here's a wee reminder from all of us at Sweet Stampin' to get your Christmas craft on, with the added incentive of joining in with a Christmas themed challenge.
For my DT card I used a Stamping Bella stamp that I bought ages ago but didn't get around to colouring until the summer holidays. I kept everything quite simple, just adding some glossy accents to the berries and a bit of shimmer pen here and there. The sentiment is from a set by Avery Elle.

I'm here to tell you about the new challenge starting at Sweet Stampin' today. Our theme for the next fortnight is "Food or Drink". You can make anything on this theme provided we can clearly see some stamping.
I used a recently purchased set from Altenew to make my DT card
Not my usual style of stamp set, but I was tempted partly by a Jennifer McGuire tutorial and partly by the opportunity to use lots of bright ink colours. It took a bit of messing about to get the individual parts to line up, but once I had my eye in, I couldn't stop!

As we approach a new month, it's time for a new challenge at Sweet Stampin'. This time we'd like to you create a vintage or shabby chic design.
I used to use my Magnolia stamps all the time so it's nice to play with them once again.
I still have some of the Maja Designs paper that I once collected obsessively, so I layered this onto some beige Bazzill cardstock cut with Go Create shaped dies.
Tilda was coloured with Copics and mounted onto a couple of tattered doilies. All of the cardstock edges were lightly distressed and given a dab of Antique Linen distress ink. I added a few flowers and stems from my stash together with a couple of clear droplets to finish it all off.

At Sweet Stampin' this fortnight we'd like you to use numbers in your design.
For my DT card I wanted to use lots of gold and opted to stamp my background and use die cut numbers.
I stamped my much loved Pinkfresh Studio background and heat embossed in gold on white cardstock. I had a pre-cut A2 size piece of gold card in my scrap box so I used this as a mat for the stamped image.
I cut 3 numbers in white and layered them together before adding a top layer cut in gold. I used liquid glue to make sure the layers stayed stuck but had a bit of an ooze-based disaster and ended up having to add another gold layer on top. At least there's plenty of dimension, I suppose 😂.
Taking the photo proved tricky as the gold card is very shiny, although it looks a bit flat and tarnished here!

It's time for a new challenge at Sweet Stampin'! We have a nice, easy challenge theme for you this fortnight: Three of a Kind.
You can choose to feature three of anything on your design, just remember to stamp in order to be in the running for our Top 3.
I haven't used my layering floral stamps for quite a while so this seemed the perfect opportunity.
I used Altenew stamps and inks to create this monochrome design and added some self-adhesive dots for a bit of texture. A simple layered mat and card base, in grey tones to match the inks and the job was done.

We've got a great challenge theme for you this fortnight at Sweet Stampin'. We want your creations to be based on a fairytale theme, whether it be a particular fairy story or just fairytale characters.
I treated myself to a Lawn Fawn pop-up thingy recently so decided to have a play:
Once you get the hang of it the pop-up thingies are fairly straightforward to put together. I made mine from some design paper I've had in my stash for years. For the images, I stamped, cut out and coloured characters and foliage from MFT and the small castle from Stamping Bella. The overall design is small enough to fit into an A2 envelope, so no need for extra postage.

This weekend sees the start of a new challenge at Sweet Stampin'. Our new theme for the coming fortnight is to use book print, sheet music or maps as part of your design.
I kept changing my mind about this one, but in the end I opted to use up some double-side paper that has been in my stash for YEARS!
The weather here may still be a mixed bag of sunshine one minute, gales the next, but the drive to work is made infinitely more cheery by the banks of glorious daffodils everywhere, a sure sign that Spring is on it's way.
Our latest challenge at Sweet Stampin' is all about Spring and/or Easter and to help you Wends has created a fabulously pretty mood board. I picked up on the yellow in the daises (and the daffs here, of course!) to make my DT card:
I used a Pinkfresh stamp and stencil combo to create the floral panel, which I then cut twice using stitched rectangle dies. I thought a sentiment would look a bit lost on the busy background so opted to stamp onto a strip of heavyweight vellum and wrap it round the central panel. Don't get me started on the 7 kinds of trouble I had with that, from finding the right ink to wrapping the strip around and keeping it straight! I popped up the smaller rectangle with foam tape and added some yellow and white dots just to finish it all off.

It's time for a new challenge at Sweet Stampin' and this fortnight our theme is Love!
Rather than create a Valentine card I thought I would go for something more general, so here's what I made
The heart-shaped wreath stamp and die are from Simon Says Stamp and I coloured the wreath and image with Copics before adhering it to the front panel. To complete the card I stamped a sentiment using Versamark ink. Thank goodness for the Misti, as I needed to stamp a couple of times to get an even impression.

Happy New Year! I hope that 2022 has started well for you.
I'm here to let you know that we have a new challenge starting at Sweet Stampin' today and our theme is Anniversaries. It can be any anniversary, not just weddings, so feel free to celebrate whatever anniversary you like!
I went with the wedding theme for my DT card
The image and sentiment are both from Colorado Crafts and I did some really simple Copic colouring. To add a bit more interest I used a Sakura glitter pen on the glass and added silver glitter paste through a stencil for the hearts.
I chose soft grey cardstock for the card base and stamped a subtle pattern over the front with Versamark ink and once this was dry I adhered the image panel with tape runner.
