Getting Spooky at Sweet Stampin'

Today we're starting our latest challenge at Sweet Stampin' and it's a seasonal one:  Hallowe'en.

I can't say that Hallowe'en has ever really been a "thing" for me so I don't go mad on spooky-themed supplies.  However, I've had the witch die (Taylored Expressions) for ages and hadn't used it as far as I can remember, so it was time to give it an airing.

I followed a tutorial by a Creative Muse to do the ink blending using a Lawn Fawn stencil but the moon was certainly a happy accident.  I was going to use my Altenew ink layering stamps but when I stamped the first, solid layer using a cream pigment ink I noticed that as it dried it created uneven, patchy spots.  No need after that to add the other layers.

The sentiment is from a donkey's-years old stamp set from Simon Says Stamp and I heat embossed it in white once the dark blue inks had dried.

We'd love to see your Hallowe'en makes, so do hop over to the Sweet Stampin' blog and play along with us.

Have a great weekend and don't forget to put your clocks back tonight if you're in the UK!

xx
