Girls Only

I'm feeling very virtuous, as I've spent some time outside this morning doing some serious sweeping up and tidying at the front of the house. I also managed to get some washing on the line for the first time this year!  I couldn't get over how warm it was, although it looks like things are changing now.  I'll be spending the rest of the day indoors, unfortunately, as housework, including a pile of ironing, then schoolwork beckons :0(

Anyhoo, I'm here to tell you about our latest challenge over at Lovely hAnglar or Sweet Magnolia.  It's a Girls Only theme this fortnight so I don't imagine that will be a problem for anyone!  Here's my DT card, using a very sweet hAnglar girlie

Another easel card, another dodgy photo!  I used some gorgeous papers from a Bildmalarna pad and out came the Spellbinders scalloped wavy border die again - I love this, in case you hadn't noticed.  Because the main DP is so busy I didn't want to overload the card with embellies, so I kept the flowers down to just 3 big ones at the bottom.  I coloured my hAnglar girlie with Copics and stamped some swirls in Shabby Shutters DI around her to tie the image in with the paper.

Hope you can join us this fortnight over at LhoSM.  Remember, though that you need to use either a Magnolia or a hAnglar & StAnglar stamp to be eligible for a prize.  Talking of prizes, our sponsor is the fabby

Lifelong crafters Mother and Daughter, Mary and Andrea were tired of having to buy full rolls of ribbon and lace when they only needed one metre.  Because they love ribbons and all things pretty, they decided to open their own online shop in 2010 and make small quantities of beautiful products easily available to all crafters. Mary owns the shop and runs it on a day to day basis as well as keeping the website updated while Andrea looks after the social side,  The Ribbon Girl Blog and the Design Team. They specialise in supplying small (or large) quantities of ribbon, twine, gorgeous vintage style lace and seam binding ribbon, tiny pom-pom and ric-rac trim, all sorts of buttons, fancy pins, a multitude of charms, pearl and crystal flourishes, wool felt squares, seasonal and unusual embellishments, mulberry flowers, sticky tape and accessories to card makers, crafters, scrapbookers and cake decorators. They stock only the best quality products and only offer for sale goods that they would personally buy and use themselves.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Hugs

This is soooo pretty. First, I love the Hanglar images and have a lot of them and should get them out. This one is precious and you colored her sweetly. The diecut behind her is fabulous and the way you put some ink on the edge around the image is great and I need to remember to try that. Oh, such inspiration from your blog!!! Love this card and I think it's so cool that you're on the team at Lovely Hanglar. Very cool. Hugs, Gail
