Mothers Day

As it's Mothers Day in the UK next weekend we thought it would be a good theme for this week's challenge at Sweet Stampin'.  I'm lucky enough to have a mum, a mum in law and a grandmother (who will be 95 in a couple of months!) and so have 3 cards to make.  MIL and Nan both like bold designs (my mum is more into pastels and/or cute images) and it's the bold version that I'm sharing as my DT card today.

I used a Wplus9 and Simon Says Stamp collaboration set to stamp the design, using white pigment ink to tone down some of the really bright purples.  The die cut sentiment is actually a mid-tone purple although it looks black here; it was cut with an Altenew die.  The little sentiment is from Lawn Fawn and I've added lilac and clear sequins for a bit of bling - both of the recipients are known to love a bit of sparkle!

Sadly, this is my last post for Sweet Stampin', although I'm staying on the Christmas at Sweet Stampin' monthly challenge DT.  It's been a very hard decision to make, but some of you will know that work has been horrendous for a number of  months and isn't set to get any easier in the short term.  I'm also conscious of the Boy Wonder only having another 18 months at home before he heads off to college or uni and I need to make the most of my time with him.

I've loved being part of Sweet Stampin' over the last 5 years and have made some friends for life there.  I wish all of my teamies, past and present, the very best of everything and will continue to check in on their blogs as often as I can.

Have a lovely weekend.

A fabulous bold design Trace. It's so sad to see you go, but real life goes first. I know where you're coming from, my sons are 18 and 21, and they're soon out of the nest too. Oldest son is at Uni just 7 minutes away, but is looking for a place of his own. Time do fly so fast, only yesterday they were toddlers :) Have a lovely relaxing weekend and don't be a stranger! You'll be missed!

Love and hugs

Stunner of a card Tracey, lovely design and gorgeous bold colours.
So sorry you're leaving us at SS, but quite understand why! I hope things at work settle down for you soon and enjoy the time you have with your son before he's off to Uni! Hopefully we'll be welcoming you back onto the team sometime in the future when you have more time! Maarit is right...you will definitely be missed.
Have a great weekend.
Hugs
Chris

Tracey, we are gonna miss you like crazy chick! What a stunning card to go out on. Love the beautiful blooms and fab diecut sentiment and the sequins add just the right finishing touch. Do come back and hang out with us now and again. Huge hugs and happy wishes for what follows for you, Wends xxxx

Sorry I haven't been before now - I'm sure you know why.

I love this card, it's so elegant and pretty.

I am sad at your decision to leave us but I understand your reasoning behind it. You will be missed by the team and I hope I'm counted in the friends for life!!
